Bishop Dan Gifford

Bishop Dan Gifford is the Diocesan Bishop of the Anglican Diocese of Canada, formerly known as the Anglican Network in Canada (ANiC), within the Anglican Church in North America (ACNA). He was consecrated as coadjutor bishop in February 2022 and assumed the role of diocesan bishop in November 2022, succeeding Bishop Charlie Masters.

With a deep passion for pastoral care and discipleship, Bishop Gifford is committed to strengthening biblically faithful Anglican churches across Canada. His leadership is marked by humility, compassion, and a strong emphasis on proclaiming the Gospel and equipping the church to be a light in its communities.

Before his consecration, Bishop Gifford served as archdeacon for the Vancouver area and as vicar of St. John’s Vancouver Anglican Church, one of ANiC’s flagship congregations. During his ministry, he demonstrated a heart for building community, nurturing leaders, and encouraging spiritual growth in individuals and families.

Bishop Gifford is deeply rooted in the Anglican tradition, upholding its historic doctrines while seeking innovative ways to engage with the challenges and opportunities of modern society. Under his leadership, the diocese continues to grow as a vibrant, mission-focused community dedicated to sharing Christ’s love throughout Canada and beyond.
